Mathematics 4
Starting in Spring 2025, I have been photographing the construction of the University of Waterloo's Mathematics 4 (M4) building as it has progressed. I also have some other pictures from before then. I have created this award-winning page to organize these images and show the progression of M4's construction. To shorten load times, all images on this page have been adjusted to 720p resolution. Click on an image to see it in full resolution.
Special thanks to the owner of pinniped.page, who provided some of the late 2024 and October 2025 photos for use on this site. He also gave me an award for it.
February 2026
Tarp began covering the structure. The steel beams were complete though the ruffled ceilings were not.
March 2026
Tarp cover was complete. The frame of the far east side of the building was also completed.
April 2026
The tarp was partly removed. More of the ruffled ceiling elements were in place and workers began working within the structure.
May 2026
All crane work was complete and the crane was removed not long after my first visit of May. All structural elements appeared to be done and drywall placement had begun.
I visited again in late May.
June 2026
I visited the University of Waterloo twice during June 2026: Once in mid-June and again in late June. I took more photos than usual in June, so there are some angles I don't always do.
