CIV Courses
Welcome to UofT Engineering! If you are studying any kind of engineering at the University of Toronto, you will take a statics course during your first semester: Either CIV100 (Core 8) or CIV102 (EngSci). CIV100 is also offered as a primarily online course with code APS160, with the same course content.
External Resources
If you prefer video lessons, there are a few sources I know of which are pretty good. I do not believe
there is a good playlist for CIV102 at the moment given it is not a standard structural course. From my
experience, Jeff Hanson's videos on statics and solids are pretty good. I have not used the other
two resources as much but I know the Michael Seica videos are not ordered that well on the site.
CIV100 video lessons from Prof.
Michael Seica (these are used in APS160)
CIV100 and CME270 video lessons from
Jeff Hanson
Some more video lessons, including Structural
Analysis (CIV214)
\[M = Fd\sin(\theta)\] \[\Sigma M = 0\] \[r = 3n\] \[r > 3n\] \[\int \frac{M(x)}{EI} \textnormal{d}x \]
